What is Wardley?

 The game which become a sensation in the world in a very short period is known as the Wardley. Wardley is a daily word game that can be played once a day, without installing any app. It can be played on a web browser by using the game link. 

How it is played
It’s a word guessing game, all you need to do is guess five alphabet words in a day, and whether the word is correct or not will be decided by the box in which you are placing the words. Wordle game consists of 6 rows with 5 boxes each and you have to place your guessed word in this box. When the box turns green it means the word is correct, When the box turns yellow it means the word is correct but the place is incorrect, it means the word is in the wrong box. When the box turns grey it means neither the word is correct nor the box. it means it is completely wrong and the alphabet is not in real words. 

In these games, you will get six chances to guess the word. When 6 chances are over then the game is over for the day and the next game will begin the next day with a new word.
But due to its popularity, one of the Twitter users has created another wordle game with no time limit, which means you can guess endless time and enjoy the game.

 Wardley is created by New York American software engineer ‘Josh Wardley. He created a Riff on his last name for his partner Palak shah who is a fan of crossword.
Although earlier the game was played by Wardley and his wife, later Wardley decided to make the game public in October 2021 through WhatsApp chat by sending a link of the game to his relatives. Around 90 people played a game in the first week of November and after two months the game became popular among 300,000 people as a sensational game. And today worldly is played by around 2.5 million people approx.

WHY HAVE GAMES BECOME SO POPULAR?
Every person who is playing the game is guessing the same word at the same time, which makes it more exciting for the other player to share their scores and see others, it creates more fun. It does not take much time as compared to other games usually when the craze of other games increases so people are likely to spend hours in that game. But this is not in the case of worldly things that attract many-minded people.

Games include simple words; it does not include any complicated words which are hard to guess. Its simplicity among the other games, no push, no notification, no flashy graphics, no signup, no ads, and easy design attracted the attraction of many. It requires fewer settings on the phone. Usually, other games require some setting in the phone to run smoothly but worldly does not require any additional settings it is easy to play. 

JOSH WARDLEY THOUGHTS ON THE POPULARITY OF THE GAME

Josh Wardley had mixed feelings about the popularity of the game as he told the Times of India. He added that the popularity of the game doesn’t make him feel great because it added a sense of responsibility, to make everything runs correctly and properly to keep the audience engaged. Word puzzle is not a new game, although scrabble is a past popular puzzle game, the crossword is another word game but all this game takes more time as compared to wordle, which helps to create excitement for long. Around 2.7 million are enjoying this game, as told by Josh Wardley. He said that he is glad that his game helped friends and family to remain connected during the pandemic.
